Mr. Lubinski is a trial lawyer with over fifteen years of experience. He concentrates his practice in the defense of Workers’ Compensation litigation and is the head of the Workers’ Compensation Department at Busse, Busse & Grasse, P.C. Mr. Lubinski defends Workers’ Compensation cases throughout Illinois and has handled all types of workers compensation matters, including wage differential, psychological injuries, exposure, and repetitive trauma. He has successfully handled Workers’ Compensation cases on behalf of employers from Arbitration, to trial, and through appeal before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission on all types of issues.
Mr. Lubinski also handles complex civil litigation claims at Busse, Busse & Grasse, P.C. He has represented owners, general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect claims and liability construction claims, and has represented a variety of individuals and businesses in negligence claims. Mr. Lubinski’s practice includes product liability claims, premises liability claims, complex automobile cases, fire and arson, and Dram Shop. He has tried several cases to verdict in state court, including a multimillion dollar traumatic brain injury case, has participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations that have resulted in successful resolutions for his clients, and has represented his clients in the Illinois Appellate Courts.
In addition, Mr. Lubinski has experience with real estate tax appeals, City of Chicago Code violations, drafting entertainment contracts, and has successfully represented property owners as well as other individuals at Administrative Hearings before the City of Chicago and other municipalities.
Mr. Lubinski is member of the Chicago Bar Association, of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, and of the Workers Compensation Lawyers Association. Mr. Lubinski previously served as a Commissioner with the City of Chicago in the Wicker Park Bucktown Special Services Area and continues to be active in the Wicker Park/Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. He serves as an arbitrator with the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration system. He is also an alumni of Indiana Beta Chapter of the Phi Kappa Psi social fraternity.
Admitted to Practice
Mr. Lubinski is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court and the Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Lubinski received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2001, where he studied abroad at the Loyola Rome campus. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, a double major in English and History, from Indiana University in 1996, with a minor in studio art.
